well, as far as I can tell you have only purchased the commercial Roots MIDI pack – which has absolutely no intends to cater for specialist brush techniques. For this you would require a compatible sound library, at this time meaning the Roots BRM SDX, no other would support the special MIDI that is available for it (and free to all Roots BRM SDX users).
