My original computer that I had toontracks installed on had failed. For my replacement laptop computer, I went to your website and got a new computer ID, and authorization code by email. I used these to download the software but when I try to open toontrack tool, it says that my computer is not authorized to run ezdrummer and shows a different computer ID. Then I uninstalled all and reinstalled – still same problem.
How can I fix?

Thanks, I tried this, but when I double click on the toontracks solo icon on my desktop, the pop up box for authorization shows a different computer i.d. than the one that was emailed and will not let me use the authorization code that was emailed to me.
Is it the same Computer ID every time you open Solo, or does it cycle to different ones each time? Since you only have only one authorization currently in use, try authorizing again with this new Computer ID. I’m not sure why the computer ID would have changed from the first authorization on this new machine unless you disabled your network device or wireless modem (or enabled them) after you authorized.

It’s the same computer i.d. everytime I open solo and when I try to authorize, it states that this computer name is already authorized. It’s like solo didn’t get updated with the new computer i.d.?
Use a different computer name i.e. ‘my computer 2’.

Just tried different computer name but did not work. When I double click on Solo on desktop the wrong computer id still pops up.
OK.
What you need to do is authorize again on the Toontrack website using this new Computer ID (what you are referring to is ‘the wrong computer id’). Somehow, between when you first authorized and now, the hardware configuration that the Computer ID is derived from got changed (see my link to the FAQ above for reasons why this may have happened). It’s not a big deal and authorizing this new Computer ID should take 2 minutes and you’ll be up and running.
Log into your Toontrack account and go to your ‘My Products’ section. Select your EZdrummer and then click on the ‘Add Authorization’ button. Input the NEW Computer ID and fill in a computer description and you’ll receive a new authorization code. Input this new code and you should be up and running.

Okay did that, and when I double click on solo on desktop, the wrong computer id pops up and the new authoriazation code does not work.
I just noted that my new computer id, AAJZS -, is the same for my old failed computer that I was sent back in 2011. Maybe the computer id that pops up on solo is my new computer id, PWMQX-, but I am not receiving authorization for this one. Please check what my computer i.d. should actually be.
What computer id is displayed now?
There is no way to check what your computer ID should be. They are computer specific.
If you have yet another computer id, please try authorizing that one but don’t remove the other one first.
