Not sure what your host is but I use logic and couldn’t figure this out either. A helpful toontracker sent me a template but basically go into the mixer and route each EZD track to a different sequencer track. Works perfect for me. I’m sure someone who’s way smarter than I will explain better but that clicked for me.

good luck, I’ve gotten some great results with EZD once I figured out what I was kind of doing.

You can use the multiout feature in EZdrummer. You won’t get individual cymbals on separate tracks but you’ll have some flexibility. See this FAQ video:

Great…thanks….I will try to figure it out now….I saw the multi out, but didn’t know how to configure it….heading over to that faq now.

I’m finding that each drum is not completely isolated when using the multi out config. If I solo a track, the tone of that drum is very different then with the combination of overheads and bleed thru on other mics. The tone, for example on the kick or snare is great without soloing it, but not as good by itself. Am I missing something, or is this the way it works?

Well, yes, that is how a real recorded drumset sounds. It is a combination of what the mics pick up. You can turn off the bleed switches for those channels that have it for a more isolated sound.

Thanks Scott…I just wanted to make sure that is the normal output. I had just spent $ to have a drummer lay tracks in a studio, but it doesn’t come close to the resolution of what EZD is doing…quite fantastic.

Maybe I’ll have to research this, but is there a link you can point me to which explains the difference in what superior drums offers over EZ? EQ? Effect control?

I found the info on SD….looks remarkable, and worth the crossgrade.

    Hey all,
new here, but I can add do make sure that ‘Universal Track Mode’ is checked in your Logic audio preferences if using Logic.
I couldn’t figure out why the multi-outs weren’t coming up in my mixer window when I clicked the + button on the Logic inst track,
I found the answer on another forum and thought I’d post it here in case someone else runs into the same problem.
Very pleased with the EZdrummer sounds, I futzed with BFD for years and could never get it to work correctly, would crash etc., wasted a lot of time!
