    Please try the following:

Download the Full Download Install (big red PC button on the product page)

    Uninstall EZdrummer

    Install from the Full Download

Apply the 1.3.1 32-bit and 64-bit update installers

I thought the update file had corrupted my ez drummer install, but the next day it was working again as ver. 1.2.1. I want to finish some projects first, so I will wait before I do an uninstall and re-install. In the meantime a few more questions please…

    1. I have the disc for ez drummer, any difference between re-installing from the disc vs the download? Will either method require a new authorization?

    2. Will a re-install delete my user and purchased midi files requiring a re-load of those? Will this effect my ezx expansion packs, will I have to re-install these?
    Thanks for your help…Bobby

    1. Yes there is a difference. The disc version (installer) was made prior to Windows 7 being released and is why John recommended downloading and installing the full version which has the proper W7 installer. No, should not need to re-authorize.

    2. You shouldn’t need to reinstall any EZXs as long as you are not doing a ‘Custom’ install to a different location from the original location.

Without going into unnecessary technical details – Yes, there’s a difference and I prefer you’d use the Full Download instead the disc.
Neither install method should trigger the Auth scheme and if one of them did, it should be the same Computer ID as before.

    2. Will a re-install delete my user and purchased midi files requiring a re-load of those? Will this effect my ezx expansion packs, will I have to re-install these?

No, it should not affect any of those, however, if you want to be sure about your user MIDI files, please back up the ‘My MIDI files’ folder.
