Since EZdrummer loads all samples into RAM, the location of those samples doesn’t matter. Other samplers that use disk streaming technology do require a ‘fast’ hard drive for best performance.

Having said that, if you want to move the sounds from EZdrummer, you need to uninstall EZdrummer and install using the Custom Install option and select where the EZHome folder is installed. This is where the Sounds and MIDI is stored.

This wasn’t explained in any of the documentation.

And it wasn’t made clear during installation.

I don’t remember being asked about an EZHome folder – I went through the installation carefully to avoid data being written to the OS disk.
The OS disk needs to be kept as compact as possible for straight forward back-up and recovery.

I’m not sure anyone would want to be making recovery disks with the complete EZ_Drummer library included?

Any way, thank you for the information, although I would have appreciated this being explained clearly during installation.

If I un-install, and re-install, will I lose one of my authorizations?

No, if the computer has the same hardware configuration, you can uninstall and reinstall as many times as you want.
