I’ve bought and downloaded EZX Classic today -I’m trying to install it, but it came as a Zipped file which I understand you have to unpack completely before installing.
Well I started it off and it’s taking hours (literally). It’s been a couple of hours and the unzipper dialogue says it’s about halfway through. Now I know my Q6600 is no i7 Monstertruck, but this is excessive, surely? Is it because the standard XP unzipper is not up to the job?
I’ve installed other EZXs with self-extracting archives (as opposed to zips) and they take less than a minute to unpack -what is going on??

I think I’d bail out and either download a fresh file or at least start unzipping again. Make sure you have enough free disk drive space. I’ve never had one take more than a couple of minutes- tops.

Since your Classic EZX is Authorized, I presume all went well in the end?

I downloaded and installed this a few days ago. It’s a pretty big file and took over half hour if iirc. You do have to unzip the file completely (extract all) or it won’t install as half the files show as missing, that’s what happened on mine the first time I tried. I then completely unzipped it and it worked fine. Does take a while though.
Make sure you have two complete EZX’s. One is the full mic set up, the second is the four mic set up.
