Hi,
I am trying to choke my crash. What I mean by this is that I want it so that when I hit the cymbal with the stick it makes the crash noise and then when I grab the choke with my hand it silences the cymbal.
Right now, when I grab the choke, It just triggers another MIDI sound instead of silencing the cymbal.
I am using an Alesis Trigger IO, a smart trigger single zone crash cymbal with choke strip, and EZdrummer hosted by Toontrack Solo.
Thanks
Hi,
if you have selected Controller type to ‘E-drums’ in Toontrack solo, this should work if the Trigger IO is sending Aftertouch.
EZdrummer does not have any tweak options for E-drums like it’s bigger brother Superior 2, so any changes need to be done in your module.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I am asking Alesis for help on this.
Another question: Is it possible to record the output from EZdrummer on the same computer running EZdrummer? Basically I just want to record myself playing the E-drums to a MP3 or wav file — the drum tracks do not need to be separate or anything special like that.
I am running Windows 7.
Thanks
If you can find any kind of audio capturing software that records at the audio driver output, like Audio Hijack or Soundflower for Mac, then yes. I am sorry that I don’t know of any similar products for PC. Hopefully someone will chime in with a suggestion.

John
