I recently upgraded from Cakewalk’s Music Creator to X1 and am experiencing an issue with my ezdrummer program. Whenever I insert it the sounds of the kit I choose do not load. No matter how long I leave it open they stay at 0 MB. I have installed the 1.3.1 update for 64 MB and still experience the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I’m guessing you are running Sonar in 64 bit. I’m also assuming you haven’t set the path to the 64 plugin file in Sonar’s plugin manager. So in that case, your 64 bit Sonar is still reading from the 32 bit plugin file which which is the reason EZdrummer doesn’t load.

The default location of a 64-bit Toontrack plug-in on a 64-bit system is C:ProgramFilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit. Try adding this path in Sonar’s plugin manager and see if it solves the problem.

I have done everything I know to do but still cannot get the 64 bit update to work in Sonar. I removed the update and reinstalled, setting the default to my X1 host. Still nothing. I see no place to simply add a path in X1’s plug-in manager.

When in doubt post on a message board and look like an idiot first. Then it will magically work without you doing anything.
