Okay so I’m seriously frustrated to the point of breaking my monitor. I have had EZdrummer and DKFH for about a year or so now, and have used it quite frequently. I recently packed up my computer to go to another state to visit family with intent to record music. I opened up Acid pro 6.0 with a project I had already started on awhile back, and my EZdrummer says it’s not authrorized. I’ve tried putting in the codes from my other account, and it won’t work. I can’t even post in the forum from my other account because I don’t know the user name. (I can sign into it if needed) I really need help, I payed for this program and it was working fine until yesterday. Please help me. Thank you.

There are 2 main causes of an authorization retrigger. First, when there is a change in the motherboard. Second, when there is a change to the NIC. Even simply enabling/disabling the NIC will issue a new hardware setup to the OS.

Can you please help me fix this? I really need to know so I can start recording again..
Well, have you changed the NIC since you authorized successfully? IOW, have you turned on/off some ethernet, LAN adapter or other NIC device?

I haven’t done anything to my PC internally, I just moved locations from Texas to Alabama.
Ok. Turning an NIC on/off isn’t done ‘internally’. It is as simple as turning on your LAN adapter to access the internet.
So, you are getting the authorization screen pop up with a new Computer ID. You’ve gone to the Toontrack site and generated a new authorization code for this new Computer ID. Correct? When you paste this new authorization code you get some error message? What is the error message?

And you’re using the authorization code that is correct for the Computer ID that is displayed in the authorization window? Are you using the old authorization codes from the different Computer ID?
I can’t find you in the Toontrack database under ‘Mitchell Howie’ so I can’t check as to which codes you are using. Is there another name for your account I can check?

I had to make this account because I could remember my forum user name on my correct account. But I am logged onto it right now. It’s email is EDITED OUT EMAIL. My mother set up the DKFH about a year and a half ago and I cannot get ahold of her. But I have all of the email access information.
OK. I just checked out that account.
It looks like you’ve generated an authorization code for the DFH EZX but not EZdrummer itself. It sounds like you are trying to put in the DFH EZX code when it is EZdrummer that is asking for a code.
Please log into your Toontrack account and generate a code for your EZdrummer product.

Wow, I feel kind of stupid for this haha. It worked! Thanks for the support. So if this happens again do I just delete the old Authorization?
Well, you can have 4 total authorization (2 at a time) until you need to contact support to free one up. So, yes, you can delete the old authorization if you want. But, you may find that that old authorization may work when you go back to Alabama…or not.
