I recording via midi though a roland td8. I have 4 toms on my kit but I only see 3 different toms available to trigger in EZDrummer. How do I get a fourth different tom sound?

You would need load 2 instance of EZD in your host DAW and just load the 4th tom only on the 2nd instance.

There is actually another tom available but it has the same tone. Do you know if there are ways to tune individual drums?

There are 4 toms in the Pop/Rock kit: 12″, 14″, 16″, and 18″. They are all pitched differently.
