I have Ableton Live which is 32-bit only & Reaper which is 64-bit on my Win7 64-bit PC.
Can I install both 32-bit & 64-bit versions of EZdrummer so I can use it in either DAW?
The READ ME that comes with the updater seems to read like you can only use one or the other.
I really hope not.
hum, the read me specifically states that it is not a problem to have both installed, so no, it’s not a problem to have both installed and in use 🙂
The only thing is that you need distinct paths for the VSTs, but you would have to go through a great deal of efforts to stop this happening anyhow.
That said, zero testing has been performed under any 32-bit hosts sitting on top of a 64-bit OS, so if would hit a wall you’re on your own I’m afraid (well, depending on host and exact stated OS compatibility by its developer, you may be able to get support from them).

Sorry my bad, I guess I should have read it more carefully.
So can I choose a different folder for the 32-bit & 64-bit plugins? For example It would be “Vst/64bit/Drums”for the 64bit version & “vst/Drums” for the 32bit version. I like to keep my x64 & x86 plugins separate.
you not only can, but have to if you want to avoid crushing one by the other.
You should be aware that the 32-bit installer will never be able to install in a 64-bit path however, i.e C:Program FilesVst32bitDrums (it will instal in C:Program Files (x86)Vst32bitDrums instead), that’s just how standard Windows Installers work. The opposite should be possible, if somewhat confusing.

All is sorted.
It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, you’d think I never installed plugins before
Its just that some of the wording in the READ ME put me of a bit until I read it more carefully that is.
Oh & BTW EZdrummer is so EZ to work with & sounds really great, I’ll definitely be getting EZX packs when I get a chance!!
Thanks for your help Rogue
