Toontrack solo 1.3.1 is now available from the ‘http://www.toontrack.com/downloads.asp‘ section of your Toontrack account.
This update is recommended to all users but in particular those running a 64-bit host under a suitable operating system (Mac OS 10.5 or newer, Windows Vista or better). Users whose workstation predates Mac OS 10.5 are advised to remain at (or reinstall) version 1.2.2, the last version fully tested on Mac OS 10.4/Tiger.
Fixed in version 1.3.1:
– it is now possible to select or change a MIDI device in the 32-bit version on Mac (solo 1.3.0 issue)
– it is now possible to modify the Audio Output Channels configuration in the 32-bit version on Mac (solo 1.3.0 issue)
– plug-in paths containing non ASCII characters were not recognized
– solo project with file name or path to .tts file containing non ASCII characters on Mac OS X should no longer cause the project to fail to load
– when loading a project on Windows, Drummer windows were sometimes minimized even though they had opened when the project was saved
– in the Metronome Settings dialog, the Play drop-down menu entries have been renamed in a less confusing way
– in that same dialog drop-down menu, the options that are not relevant to the current time signature no longer appear
– the layout of the Metronome Settings dialog has been adjusted so that the sound names are fully visible on Mac
– the About dialog on Mac now has the same appearance in 32-bit mode as in 64-bit
