Hi Everyone,
After downloading, installing and authorizing the Nashville EZX, when I dragged and dropped EZdrummer onto a track in Presonus Studio One, I got the following message – “EZdrummer cannot find the sound files! Reinstall EZdrummer or move the sounds to: /Library/application support/EZdrummer/sounds”
Prior to this latest download, EZdrummer and previously installed EZX Expansions worked fine, now however, although EZdrummer will launch and I can open the groove browser, none of the EZX groove choices emit sound.
Having wasted a fair amount of time trying to salvage my installations, without having to download everything all over again and too many failed attempts at using the “sound mover” to get the sounds into the recommended above location, things have devolved to a state where it’s probably best to start fresh and proceed with downloading, reauthorizing, etc.
Question: Can I simply drag all things ezdrummer related into the trash? Because I seriously doubt that the uninstaller is going to work
at this point, due to the many failed attempts that has resulted in files no longer being in their proper locations. I already tried the uninstaller and it doesn’t see the files and the ezdrummer folder is no longer in the path: /Library/application support/EZdrummer/sounds.
Any advice in helping to thoroughly expunge all EZ related files would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Audio Slave
simple steps that may work:
1) delete /Library/application support/EZdrummer
(although it sounds like this is done already)
2) run Soundmover pointing to the folder directly above your existing repository
(for example ‘/External HD/My samples/Toontrack/’)
step 1 is not strictly speaking required but not knowing what state your system is at this point it might be necessary.

Problem solved, located all Toontrack and ezdrummer related files and sent to trash, also deleted files in the library and preferences, last ran the unistaller and it found couple of more files that I had missed.
Next, downloaded ezdrummer and expansions, reauthorized and everything is now working!
Word of caution, This from page 9 of the EZDrummer Operation Manual “The plugin will be installed in the default location for your operating system and should not be moved to remain available to all
users and programs. The sounds themselves are installed in /Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/Sounds/ and cannot be relocated. Doing so will render the program unusable.”
That I believe is what caused my problems. I dragged a folder from the Installer folder and dropped it into the main Toontrack folder in applications.
Just run the installer for each download, and trust the installer to place everything in the right location, touch nothing!
Thanks, Rogue
