A while back I moved my EZ Drummer sound libraries using Sound Mover to an External drive to free up space on my Mac Book Pro. I am facing a lengthy tour and I’m gonna take the MBP on the road as a hotel room mobile recording unit and I wanna put the sounds back onto my MBP. I am totally confused as to using Sound Mover to complete this task.
What is the best way to do this? Will Sound Mover allow me to transfer everything back, or do I simply need to re-install EZ Drummer and it’s respective EZX’s?
Thanx in advance…..
SoundMover is indeed the answer, my friend.
To move everything back to Default location, run the latest SoundMover utility from the 1.2.1 update (with external drive attached, of course) and point it to ‘Mac HD/Library/Application Support/’.

Thanx John. I’m kinda snagged up here. When I try to run the Soundmover utility, it skips right past the DESTINATION SELECT screen, therefore not allowing me to move the sounds. I am updated to the current EZ Drummer.
Not sure whats happening here?
the default path the sounds end up in is /Applications/Toontrack, which is as good to you as what John suggested (i.e the sounds are back on the internal drive). Job done if you went through with it.
… but for the record, yes, the Apple interface sometimes decides to skip the destination screen, but there is a back button (or ‘change install location’ depending on OS) that will work every time, so it’s always possible (and required, except in your particular scenario, which is atypical) to specify a target location for the sounds to be moved to.

OK I understand now. Everything seems to be working as it should and the sounds seem to be transferring back. Thanx guys.
Ok–now the sounds are back on the MacBookPro, but EZ drummer can’t find em’
This is the file path where they reside
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/EZDrummer/EZDrummer/Sounds
What am I doin’ wrong here?
The sounds are clearly in the folder and have definately been removed from the external drive.
Sorry I’m Not gettin’ this. Thanx for the help
Disregard–it’s all workin’. Not sure exactly what i did, but it’s all good now.
