I just installed, authorized, and updated EZdrummer and when I’m loading up Pro Tools LE I get the following message:
“Pro Tools could not load the following plug-ins either because no valid authorization could be found, the iLok key was not connected or the plug-in was damaged: ezdrummer.dpm”.
My iLok is plugged in so I’m not sure what the issue could be.
I’m using Pro Tools LE 8.0.1 on a WinXP 32 bit box. I’m not using any other plug-ins other than the ones that came with LE. Toontrack solo seems to run fine. One weird thing is that when I was originally installing EZ, towards the very end of the installation I got a couple error messages claiming I was missing 2 manifest files from the DVD that should be located in D:InstallPCWindowswinsxsManifests. I’m not sure if they could be the source of the issue, but I was able to apply the update without a problem (EZdrummer 32 bit Update.exe).
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
please:
1) uninstall EZdrummer
2) download the Full Download installer available in your Toontrack account (big red ‘PC’ button)
3) run the Full installer and then apply the 1.2.1 update
May I ask why you still run Pro Tools 8.0.1, BTW?
Depending on your hardware, you could be running 8.0.4 or 8.0.5, since they are free updates.
Best Regards,
John

Thanks, that worked! I downloaded a new EZdrummer install and a 8.0.5 version of Pro Tools as well (didn’t know that was available, thanks for that too)
