Hi,
I am experiencing some problems with installing the Cocktail EZX update, and it seems at this point I am so frustrated I am even considering re-installing Windows, or evne upgrading to Windows 7.
My question: if I re-intall or get a new OS, can I simply install all my TT products (EZDrummer with all the EZXs, except for MetalHeads, Superior 1, SD 2.0) again, or so I need a new authorization number in that case?
Thanks,
Lars

reinstalling, or even upgrading an OS, does not by itself change your Computer ID. However, depending on what components are in your computer and how Windows decides to advertised them they may re-trigger the copy protection of your Toontrack software. So, in other word, while it should not require a new authorization code it’s not 100% bullet proof.

Hi,
I installed Windows 7, 64bit,and I also just stated installing my TT products. After installing EZDrummer I tried it in Solo, and it appears I did get a new Computer ID. What do I do now?
Do I just go ahead and authorize or do I first need to remove my old authorization (with the old WinXP computer ID)?
Thanks,
Lars
EDIT: Ok, I found a fix to this: I still have a wireless network cared on my PC which was not active on my old system but it was there. Apparently in Win7 it was active/enabled, and I could not figure out how to disable it, so I removed it and voila, my computer ID was the same again as back then. 🙂
