This is driving me nuts.
I download it. Go to install it and it tells me somethingf about an invalid path. Then I try to manually load it into my VSTi folder and it loads but says “no sounds.
This program is impossible to get up and going.
Any help?
What is the exact error message?
Have you extracted the installer?

seriously. Why is this program so difficult to get going?
It’s ridiculous.
I have the NI B4. It comes with a disk. I bought it 7 years ago. I put the disk in, hit install and it’s done. I have jumped through an incredible amount of hoops to get thius program going a couple of times.
It’s enough to not want to use it.

All I can tell you is that I downloaded EZD. Where does it say anything about an installer?
An installer is used to install the program whether it is run from the download or from a disc.
So, you’ve downloaded the TT106_EZdrummer_WIN.zip to your desktop from your Toontrack account (the red ‘PC’ button)
Then you extract the installer folder from the zip to your desktop.
You open the installer folder and click on the PC installer.
Follow the prompts for installation.

did that.
Then I thumb through to find “Install” and click on that. After a while of “installing,” it tells me :
“error 1309. error reading from file” Then a bunch of drive paths and then “please virify that the file exists.
This is freaking absurd.
You have to be a programmer to install this!!? I have to seach around for an install file and then get nowhere?
This is unacceptable. I appreciate any help I can get but this sucks.
What’s wrong with download, click install, click finish like every other VSTi in the known world? Like I said, I have a vsti from the last freaking decade that loads up perfectly in about 2 minutes.
What the hell!?
See this thread about ‘error 1309’.

Basically, make sure you’re running the installer from the desktop. You say you are but double check.

I’m sorry to say that I’m out of ideas. I know that not what you want to hear and I apologize.
I’ll forward this thread higher up on the support ladder so hopefully we can get this resolved ASAP.

It’s ok Scott.
Thanks for your help.
I’ll tell ya though. I will not spend another dime on this platform again. How it sounds is not the only variable when chosing a drum vsti. It’s how easy it is.
I have spent 100 times the time just getting this junk to play sounds than any other VSTi I own.
OK.
From higher up:
1) download the full product archive
2) right click the zip file and choose ‘extract all’
I know you’ve said you’ve extracted the installer from the zip but double check please.

So could you help with getting my Nashville loaded?
Thanks, so much dude.

Nothing yet. I have spent so much time trying to figure this stuff out, I thought I’d just ask first.
Thanks so much Scott. I know I was freaking out before and I really appreciate the help.
Well, the Nashville EZX download isn’t zipped
– Download the TT111_EZX_Nashville_WIN.exe file to your Desktop location.
– Double click on it and it will run a self extractor and it will create the installer folder.
– Open this folder an run the installer and you should be all set.
