I would suggest that you “Save” the download to a place on your hard drive then “Run” it later.

are you sure this relates to EZplayer and not EZdrummer as your account shows registration for the latter, not the former?

Anyway we do need the exact message you are receiving otherwise this is just guess work on our part.

Rogue, I’m trying to download EZ Drummer. I purchased it at the store but they didn’t have it in a box. They sold me the product with my
license number on my receipt and told me to just go to toontracks to download it. I can’t remember the message it gave me when it stopped downloading but it was almost finished when it stopped. It took about an hour of time for it to download also..is that normal?
Since I could not actually by the product at the store with a box…I trusted the salesman that it would work with my computer.
My computer is a PC running windows XP professional version 2002 service pack 2, Intel(R) pentium (R)2.40GHZ
Just wondering if the software will run on this computer before I spend hours trying to get it to download. Thanks.

It will depend on the speed of your internet connection. If you have a slow dial-up connection, it may take you 3 days to download.

My studio PC is a P4 3gHz running Windows XP SP2 with 2GB of RAM and it works fine. How much RAM on your system? If you have more than 512MB of RAM you should be able to run EZD. If you are running more VSTis than just EZD I would recommend at least 1GB (2GB is better).

I am not using dial up, I am using DSL not wireless. When I first went to upload this it said about an hour to download.
It got to about an hour than stopped loading and gave me an error. Should I just try to download again?
I saw on the EZdrummer install requirements that you need windows XP SP3, I have SP2, could this be the problem?
Sorry for the confusion but my salesperson at the store told me this would work on my computer…seeing that I just purchased the “code” at the store, I had to no box to refer to. If I can’t get this to work….can I get my money back at the store?
    Thanks guys.

Or, can I download EZdrummer to my Mac and put it on a cd and upload it to my PC from there????

I would try downloading again and make note of any error message you get. Without the exact erro, no one can offer any other solution.

I can only reiterate that I run sp2 on my studio computer without issue.

If you need a refund, you would need to contact the store where you purchased.

    Doable, yes.
Put the Full Download ≈700MB and the updater on a DVD or removable disk and transfer to your PC.

Ok tried downloading again last night….said it was going to take 6 hours…is that really right?
My internet is DSL fast 768 or something like that..not dialup.
So I let it download all night….just checked it and it had stopped running…error said this:

Internet Explorer cannot download TT106 EZdrummer_WIN.exe from cdncon.vo.llnwe.net

Why am I having such a hard time?  I’m about ready to give up on this program , please help.

Ok, I have downloaded EZdrummer onto another computer, saved it to a dvd, installed it on my PC.
I open cubase and then try to open EZdrummer and I get a window that says:  “Failed to load the default audio driver.  Please check the audio device dialog box for options.”  when I go to my audio device dialog box, it is showing what I use to hear back my recorded song.  I am using a pc, Cubase 5 with a Mackie D8B for inputs out monitoring.  If I change the audio device, I no longer her my song.  Also I see nothing in the audio dialog box that says toontrack or ezdrummer.  Is this because my ezdrummer software my not be authorized?
I have tried to authorise it and it won’t except my computer ID

Is my computer ID my serial number?  I put that in with the Computer description and it does not except it.
It says:  The computer ID you provided is not in the correct format.  Check my code and try again.
I have checked it several times and even tried to just put my computer name there. When I go to my system properties window it gives me a “full computer name” and a “Computer description”.  I have even tried these and cant get it to authorize my ezdrummer software.

    Hi,

your serial number is not your Computer ID nor is it the Authorization code.
You register the product with the serial number.
Your computer’s configuration is what makes up your Computer ID, which is what you use to generate an Authorization code.
Please see these videos for info on how to Authorize correctly.

Regarding the Audio driver; I hope you are not trying to run EZdrummer in Standalone via Toontrack solo at the same time as running Cubase?
EZdrummer should be loaded as a VST plugin in Cubase.

    Best Regards,

John, thank you for all of your help.  After all my frustration, I went back to the store and they gave me a box that is suppose to have all I need in it.  They told me all I have to do is install the program and follow the instructions and that I can us my license number and registration that I already have registered with toontrack.

So I got home, did a system restore on my computer so it uninstalled the ezdrummer that I downloaded this morning thinking I was going to start fresh and reinstall with my new “disc” installation instead of the internet.
The box that I brough home with me says on it:  “Toontrack VSSD Box, contains installers for all toontrack products – NO SERIAL NUMBER IN BOX”  I open the box and their are 20 discs in the box!  There is not one disc that simply says “installer Program”  they are just cd’s that say for example S2.0 Superior Drummer 2.0 The New York Studio Legacy Series Vol. 1…the first cd in the box says on it:  Ezdrummer, EZmix, Vintage Rock EZX, Latin Percussion EZX and thru more kits.  IS THIS MY INSTALL CD??  Just want to make sure.  Once I have installed this cd…how do I get my authorization code?  I tried the links you posted and I get that but I don’t get my computer ID excepted.  On the back of the box of cd’s I got today, the steps are as follows:
    1.  create and account
    2.  click “register new product”
    3.   Enter the product serial number on the packaging of the physical product or on your electronic receipt
    4.  Type  in the Computer ID exactly as shown on the program interface whe requested to do so
    5.  Complete the process to obtain the aurthorization code.
    6.  You will be greeted with a congratulations message to confirm the product has been authorized successfully

So….I have attempted every number that I have that could be my computer ID number and nothing works.
Is this a number that is already on my computer or is it generated for me from toontracks and sent to me in an email?  Sorry for all this confusion.  With the download problems and all …I feel as if I can’t think straight and it’s now over finding the right computer ID number.

    Thanks…Anita

John,….hurray!!!!! I got it all to work finally!!!! Everyone kept telling me to go to my computer to find my computer ID number…I was not aware that Toontracks was sending me a number. Well…got it all to load and authorize.
Now…about all of those cd’s in the pack I got….are those all just sounds that I need to install if I want them?
Thanks for all the help…I am happy now that I can use the program.

For the record, that is not correct.

The Computer ID is generated by EZdrummer the first time you open EZD in your host DAW (Cubase, Sonar, Reaper, etc.) It is based on your hardware system that is unique to your computer.

You then take this Computer ID and your EZdrummer Serial Number to the Toontrack website, create an account, and type them in the correct place (Authorize New Product) and then an Authorization Code is generated based on your unique Computer ID and your Serial Number.

You then take that Authorization Code and copy/paste it into your EZdrummer authorization screen.
