Do you keep changing the basic set up on your computer, for example enabling and disabling your internet connection?

Secondly, I don’t understand the angry face icon next to your midi question.
You don’t understand how to record and edit midi in Cubase. That’s fair enough, but it’s a question for the Cubase user forum, or perhaps the Cubase user manual.
But yes, it is possible to write your own midi drum parts, then quantize them.

Thanks Whitten, sorry for angry face icon. I’m a just Luddite guitar player, trying to make all this stuff work. And yes, my www connection is through mobile phone (acting as a modum) which also has to be disconnected to plug in MIDI controller KB. which I can’t get working with EZ either boo hoo hoo.

It’s the activation code thing that is a nuisance…

I’m grateful for your response Can you think of a solution?

    Sorry, I’m not a techie.
I’m thinking someone will come along soon and advise you.
Basically the way the authorization works is that it has to authorize your EZdrummer in the computer state you will use it in.
In other words, if you launch and authorize EZdrummer with the internet connection set up, then try to use it with the internet connection disconnected, it wont work.
there is a simple way round it, but I’ve never had to do it, so I’ll leave it to someone else.
If you search the forum you might find a recent thread on the subject.

    Hi,

Enabling/Disabling the Network Interface changes the Hardware Configuration list, thus altering the Computer ID. It should only toggle between the two states though, I don’t think you get completely different ID’s every time you Enable/Disable. Either you make sure to Authorize the Disabled state or both. And make sure you have the latest updates installed.
Please see these videos for tips on the Auth process:

Thanks, I’ve think I’ve got all most up to date downloads. Just downloaded solo (whatever that is)

How do I enable/Disable the Network Interface – what is it and where is it please…

Should I try to re-authorize EXD with the comp. NOT connected to www?

Will EZD then recognise both connected to www and unconnected to www states and allow use?

Only if you authorize it twice (both connected and unconnected). Otherwise just authorize it with the modem (phone) removed if that’s the way you intend to continue.
    Have you watched the videos?

Once you get it all working, post back if you’re still having trouble with the midi keyboard.

Many thanks. At last EZD works without AUTH problems. I’m working off line. Had to change comp. recognition code?? only ever used this comp with EZD.
