It seems like every beat I drag into the folder the first few beats are replaced by a loud snare hit for some dumb reason….I’m at my whit’s end here!!!

    Hi,

sorry for the delay. Which version of EZplayer Pro are you using (displayed in the plugin interface)?
    Is this in Windows XP?

    Best Regards,
    John

It’s 1.0.6. And yes I’m using it on Windows XP. Here’s the strange thing though: When I use my laptop (which is Vista) and try to do the same exact thing, it works!!!

Wow scratch that last post.  I’ve been working on a project for the last two days on my laptop using the exact same programs and versions.  Just today, it began doing the same thing my other computer was doing.  Every time I compose a beat in EZPlayer and drag it into my MIDI folder, I play it back and it is completely screwed up.  It sounds like its playing the first 4 beats or so at the same time in the first beat of the groove.  Please help!!!!

what do you mean by ‘drag it into my MIDI folder’? can you run us through the typical process you are going through to create a beat – does it involve 3rd party MIDI or only Toontrack content?

I drag the groove from the EZPlayer interface into the “My Midifiles” folder that is in the folder display above. And then I open EZDrummer in Acid and go to the My Midifiles and pull the grooves from there into the Acid project.

I have the Toontrack Solo project saved with the beat still in EZPlayer. If there’s a way I could send it to you and then you could drag it into a folder and see if it does the same thing….this is really frustrating me because it’s impeding my song production.

WAIT WAIT WAIT I figured it out!!!! I was just using the two bottom EZPlayer layers I inserted and not the top layer, but when I move them to the top layer it works!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you mean the ‘Layer 1’ (and further layers if created manually) of the first track or tracks below the first in the Arranger?

If you have a solo file I would like to have a look at it because there could be an issue that may need to be resolved if your observations can be reproduced at our end.

… if it is possible for you to provide 2 files, one which exhibit the problem after exporting to the Browser and one that does not, please send to supporttoontrack•com and reference this topic so it can be passed onto me.

    Thanks!

Yeah it’s the first layer of only the first track. I’ll send you a file of how the beat is supposed to sound and one of it screwed up. Basically I divide my layers between cymbals (Layer 1), Toms (Layer 2), Snare (Layer 3), and Bass (Layer 4). This way it is easy for me to compose my beats and see what all is taking place. However, if I have a groove that does not use any cymbals (as the one I tried to compose did), and I don’t put anything in layer 1, the beat is messed up when I export it.

hum, I can’t reproduce your problem, so tts files (solo projects) might be necessary after all. That said, one question, is the preview in the Browser correct on these custom made grooves i.e the problem only shows up after drag and drop in Acid? And version of Acid is this btw.
