Hi folks,
I just purchased EZD, and am running it with Reaper 64 on an Intel iMac with 16GB of RAM and a Presonus firestudio for an interface. I’m having a bit of a hard time getting EZD to output any sound.
If I drag an MP3 into Reaper, or send a guitar signal to it, I get audio with no problems. However when I insert the VST track, two things happen. First, I have no sound at all – neither from a drag/dropped groove, or from simply clicking the drum heads in the UI. Secondly, there’s a pretty big delay (maybe 1-2 seconds) from the time that I click the drumhead to where it “Darkens” where it would indicate that it’s putting out sound.
I’ve no audio at all from EZD, though if I drag/drop a groove and play it back, I see the channel level bouncing, but not the master.
Any insight would really be appreciated. Thank you!
Update for anyone finding this:
I installed the 32-bit version of Reaper and it works just fine. 🙂 I found a YT video where a fellow mentions that R64 and EZD don’t play well together, and that was the case on my setup.
I think there are issues with the Mac 64-bit version of Reaper and EZdrummer. I think it was mentioned that it was specifically the AU version but the VST version was ok. I should also mention that there are quite a few AU plugins that have issues with Mac Reaper.
I could be mistaken as I use 32-bit Reaper on a Vista PC laptop.

Thanks Scott! I’m all set, even with the 32 bit version, 8 tracks of instruments and a single dedicated MIDI track for EZD and everything is running great.
Now I just need to figure out how to use the thing, hah! 🙂 Appreciate the quick response!
