Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had installed the new update for the TD-12 which supposedly has an improved hi-hat response. If so, has it had any effect while using with superior? As the other features are more sound related I probably wouldn’t bother with the update as I’m using superior anyway, but if hi-hat communication is better between the TD-12 and S2 I’ll definately get it.

I have installed it but personally have not noticed any improvement in HH response.

I updated at the weekend and didn’t really notice a difference in the hats. One good thing is the fact that in trigger settings on the TD-12 it now shows numerical values for hits and for the hi hat CC range which makes set up a bit easier

In my case, I think I got a slight response improvement but I am using a Hart Pro Kit/ECymbal II with the TD-12.
I tested with the Metal Foundry mainly.
What really makes the difference is the numerical value being sent (after any offset correction) which makes it really easy to tweak the HH CC range, as you pointed out Chris.

I’m new to SD and have been looking all over for these downloads & tips to get my hi-hat to work nicely but havnt found anything at all!

Could I ask someone to point me in the right direction?? I dont think a question like this is worthy of a thread of its own.
