Hi there,
I’m new to the Drumtracker and Superior line but I bought everything nearly. Love it and it works great. I am currently working on my first conversion. I have used the part tool and highlighted the kick, hat and snare. I found that I also have a hat at the same time I have a kick and the snare. Its a simple file, here it is.

Do I simply need to select the Hat with the part tool and add an event on the locations I want the added Hat which is hitting at the same time the kick and or snare are?

I would use the same file for two separate Inputs in your case, instead of one Input with several Instruments.

Thanks John,
Have you tried that? did, When I selected Hats and highlighted the kick area, I had a screech that would kill a witch come out of my speakers. Now that was on the same file I was already working with. I will load a new file to see if this idea works. The filters for hat vs Kick are used correct? in order to select the transient. Will the high velocity of the Kick and snare cause an upset with the filtering process? Will I need to adjust the filters of say the Hat in order to allow it to accept the kick and snare triggers since they are overlapping on the Hat at the same time?
Thanks

Just tried to add the same (your yt.wav) WAV file thrice and selcting a different Instrument for each instance.
I did not spend more than a few minutes on this but I attached the MIDI converted from your WAV file.
I had to adjust the Hihat velocity on the downbeats, of course.

Well Thanks for the old Collage Try. I got that far on my own. I’m going to have to add the hats at the Kick and Snare separately as you suggested since they are not in the Midi you sent either. Check the audio i was able to get on my own. still missing the hats on the kick and snare.

I just checked John’s MIDI file here. I do have hat hits (note 24) on the downbeats.

Ok, i see there are hats, they are on the wrong note on my sequencer. I dropped them in EZ player and I heard them. Still not in the kick and snare but I can pencil them in on the midid editor on Logic. Thanks much.

Hmmm?
if I load the MIDI file in S2 or EZPP and render to audio using internal Bounce, it sounds like attached.

So I have to ask, When adjusting the Velocity thresholds limits, what does this do for the velocity? In the Ask video, they point out this would “Smooth out the Hi Hats”. Exactly how does setting the lower threshold and upper threshold do that?
Thanks again.
Did you do the Down Beat Hi Hats on a second pass?

I attach the DT project to this post so you can see what I did.
Again, I did not spend many minutes on this, so it is not optimally done but it shows how I used the same file for three Inputs and Instruments, it shows Adding and Excluding hits, editing velocity values and partial selections of a file.
You will be asked for the file location upon opening the DT project.

Interesting. Did you make the threshold edits or did that happen automatically when rendered? Also, I was looking at the three filters. Each one is green? Was that because you loaded them three separate times or did you add them at the opening?.

I made the Threshold edits.
Was that because you loaded them three separate times
Yes, as separate Inputs.

SUCCESS !!!
My first conversion working with Drum Tracker. I made two passes, one for Hats, one for Kick and Snare. Bounced them out in SP2 via Toontrack Solo into a wav file. Took the wave file, added some Lexicon Vintage Plate Verb.
