Hi All,
Drumtracker (1.0.2) is hanging every time I add a second input. Can’t figure it out. It was fine on my old machine running XP.
I’m now running Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1, i7 920, 3 Gigs Ram. I’ve tried files at 2448 and 1644. It works fine with just one input… but as soon as i add the second, it just hangs…every time.
Audio device is a Saffire Pro 26.
Anybody any ideas??
Thanks, Paul.
Hi Paul,
sorry for the delay.
Are you running Vista in 32-bit or 64-bit mode?
Admin privileges?
Updated sound card drivers?
Best Regards,
John

Thanks John.
I was running Vista 32 bit and drivers for the Saffire Pro were up to date. Admin rights were all fine.
I had another issue with Vista and a non music related piece of software so I’ve just reset my system to XP Pro.
Maybe I’ll go Win7 sometime in the future…??
Thanks again.
Paul.
Although there is no official 64-bit support, this problem best sums up why I cannot use Drumtracker since purchasing it (my own fault for not reading up on supported platforms before buying).
Win 7 64bit, Quad Core CPU, 4G RAM.
Addition of a second track seemed to hang the program with my old E-MU 0404 (PCI).
I was hoping this would be rectified with my DIGIDESIGN MBOX 2 (USB) but the problem is severe latency when adding a new track/switching between added tracks where the program appears to hang but focus does return after 20-30 seconds of adding/switching.
I guess if/when a 64-bit supported version does appear this will be addressed. Aside from that, my other toontrack software works perfectly but I’d love to be able to use this particular tool.
