I like to take clips from EZDrummer and alter them in my piano roll in Sonar7. In the past I was able to alter the clips no problem. Now that I have updated and added some new kits, I have run into some problems. Basic scenerio, I have a clip/ groove I like and I drop it into the track and access it in the piano roll. I then copy it and now have 4 clips. I want to add or subtract some things to clip 3 but when I make my alterations it effects the other clips. I didn’t have this problem before, so I am guessing maybe something changed a setting in Sonar. I know it is probably something easy to adjust but I can’t find it. Would appreciate the help.
(Sorry about reposting this, but I’m not seeing it coming up in this forum and I still haven’t found a solution.)
System: Microsoft Windows XP (Media Center Edition, V 2002, Service Pack 3) Dell Dimension DIM9100, Pentium D, Sonar 7 for recording and EMU sound card.
Is it something about the way you are copying the clips in Sonar?
Perhaps there are options for copies to be unique, or clones.
In any case it sounds like a Sonar issue and you could post a question on editing midi in clips on a Sonar forum.
