I’ve noticed they changed the behavior for how MIDI is handled between plugins since version 3.1.3 of Reaper. You used to be able to have EZplayer pro in the top FX insert and have S2 below it and be able to drag a groove from the browser or Arranger of EZP onto your MIDI track in Reaper and play the track in Reaper and hear your S2 sounds. No so with this latest version.
If set up as mentioned above, you won’t hear playback of your Reaper track.
Here’s the setting to hear playback:

im running reaper 3.63 and i get an error when i try to import ez player midi files into the project page even with the merges with midi input option selected. also im running S2 and EZplayer pro in 32 bit.
I’m running Vista 32-bit and 32-bit S2/EZplayer with Reaper 3.6.3 (32-bit) and things work fine here. If you are using the 64-bit version of Reaper and 32-bit S2/EZplayer there could be some bit-bridging problem with Reaper. It isn’t recommended running Toontrack products with a bit-bridge.
What error message are you getting?

yea im running reaper in 64 bit and i recently upgraded to the S2.2.2 64 bit upgrade as well. ezplayer is still 32 bit and it is bridged so would i have to downgrade to reaper 32 bit? i just finished setting paths to S2.2.2 64 bit and beatstation 64 bit in reaper =\\
the error msg i was getting when i try to import a midi file into the project page is: “could not import 1 of 1 items”
Yeah, I can’t recommend using EZplayer bridged.
