Hi TT, I have EZplayer 1.0.4, on an intel mac OS 10.5.5 running Logic 8.0.2.
I have groove monkee, smart loops, and BFD1.5 added to EZP data path without any problems.
I have been trying to add BFD2 and Kitcore data paths to EZP without success. I have tried extracting files to new locations, simply pointed to the top folder, dived into the individual grooves, nothing doing.
The BFD2 data is on an external drive, and the path looks liket this:
/volumes/samples BFD/BFD2.
Kitcore grooves are located in the default installation: MacHd/application support/submersible/kicore/kitcore data/content/drumcore loops
When pointing to them I have tried these paths:
samples BFD/BFD2
samples BFD/BFD2/Grooves
samples BFD/BFD2/Grooves/Derik White
MacHd/application support/submersible/kicore/kitcore data/content/drumcore loops
MacHd/application support/submersible/kicore/kitcore data/content
MacHd/application support/submersible/kicore/kitcore data
MacHd/application support/submersible/kicore/
MacHd/application support/submersible
With all of these paths in EZP they never get to the actual groove. Where the grooves should be listed there is a blank column.
With Kitcore I got a partial result with:
MacHd/application support/submersible/kicore/kitcore data/export content. But only some ot the content showed up, not the complete Kitcore
content.
Smart Loops, Groove Monkee, and BFD1.5 are fine. I can see the grooves, play them, drag and drop.
EZP is version 1.0.4.
I have tried moving and copying groove folders to new locations, doesnt make any difference.
Thanks. Gary.
Could it be that the grooves in qurestion are not MIDI files? /Olof W

They are the midi grooves that come with kitcore and BFD2. They all work fine within kitcore and BFD2 I just cant add the data path to the ezplayer
browser.
I’m 99.9% sure that Kitcore are not standard MIDI files, you’ll have to check with them why their content export is hit and miss. BFD2 grooves are proprietary .bfd2pal files – there as well you’ll have to see with them whether there is a conversion tool available.

Resurrecting an old thread to add a solution I’ve found to convert bfd2pal (BFD2 Midi files) into a .mid format for future reference:
It’s kinda tedious but you can convert bfd2pal by loading the grooves (in batches of about 50 at a time) into the grooves page in BFD, select all the grooves in the right hand column list, right click, export midi.
