EZdrummer works exactly like any other soft synth in SONAR.  It requires a midi track which is where you will drop your EZDrummer grooves.  Remember to select the groove and press CTRL-L to convert them into a Groove Clip.  Then you can drag the left and right borders to clone the groove in either direction.  It also requires an audio track which is where the audio that EZdrummer creates returns to the SONAR mixer.  You can also create many audio tracks so that EZdrummer can utilize all available outputs in a multitrack mode.

Once you’ve inserted the Soft Synth there is no need to export anything to create audio drum tracks.  You can either leave EZdrummer in virtual mode or use the Soft Synth freeze feature to temporarily create audio tracks to free up computer resources.

This is all covered in the SONAR help files as well as the manual.  If you find anything that you don’t understand in those two resources, post your questions and I’ll be happy to help you.

Thanks for the help.  I’ll study the soft synth sections to get up to speed.
