Session Backbeats MIDI

Having been a first-call drummer on the Los Angeles session scene for more than three decades, Curt “Kirkee B.” Bisquera is nothing short of a legend. He knows exactly what, when and how to play any beat a song calls for – be it a smooth West Coast track, a stadium-sized rock anthem, a Latin-flavored pop tune or a film score. Over the years, his unmistakable groove has been heard on everything from seminal albums by Céline Dion and Josh Groban to records by Mick Jagger, Elton John and countless others.

In this MIDI pack for EZdrummer and Superior Drummer, Curt puts that versatility on full display, delivering a cross-genre collection of grooves and fills shaped by years of serving what matters most: the song. Drawing from a career spent in studios and on stages around the world, each beat reflects the feel, musicality and song-first approach that have made him one of the industry’s most trusted drummers.

In total, ten “songs” are included, each featuring multiple groove variations organized by song section, along with all the fills needed to tie them together. Expect laid-back ballads, subtle shuffles, deep pop pockets, Latin-inspired rhythms and more, all converging in a collection built around one core idea: versatility.

If you need studio-grade grooves, here they are – straight from a drummer who’s spent a career ready for any session.
