Does the strings and things new expansion pack feature different midi than the dream pop ezkeys midi???
Unlike EZDrummer2 expansions, EZKeys expansions do not include MIDI grooves in that particular style.
As stated on the product description page, http://www.toontrack.com/product/ezkeys-string-machine/ :
•Each EZKeys comes with an individual sound library
•Each EZKeys contains the same software including all functionality as well as the extensive standard MIDI library
The extensive standard MIDI library is a non-stylized collection of basic chords, chord inversions, music theory demonstrations, and example progressions, etc.
What instrumental is instantiated on the track in Reaper to play the EZD2 MIDI dragged there?

I don’t have any experience with Cubase or configuring VST plugins therein,
but shouldn’t y’all be adding a VST path within Cubase that points Cubase to the installation path of EZDrummer2
rather than moving dll’s from their installed location?
Also, wouldn’t moving the EZDrummer dll from its installed location be detrimental to other applications’ ability to use EZDrummer?
I know many users & studios that use multiple DAWs (Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic, etc).

As I recall, Toontrack started selling EZDrummer2.0 in May of 2014,
with weeks preceding the roll-out with a dozen or so emails, videos and reviews introducing the product.
EZDrummer 1 was discontinued immediately and the upgrade pricing was offered
and continued until January of 2016, a year-and-a-half later.

I’m new to EZDrummer so I’m still in the early learning stage. I was thinking that EZDrummer 2 would allow setup of individual output for each drum component or sound. Is that not a function of the individual midi tracks in midi file type 1?
Multiple outputs from the EZDrummer2 mixer are described on pg 38 of the Operation manual
and any number of Toontrack videos on their YouTube channel:

Just install EZDrummer2.
You don’t have to install EZDrummer1 at all.
But don’t forget to download and install the Pop/Rock EZX, the sound library & MIDI from EZD1.
Why not try it and see for yourself??
The cool thing about EZD2 and its Song Builder and Tap2Find search functionality
is that you can record your custom pattern, throw into Tap2Find and find similar grooves.
With the “Show Web Shop MIDI” button enabled, you can preview matching grooves that you don’t even currently own.

Tech support said its most likely my screen resolution & suggested i lower it. I haven’t got my laptop with me at the moment but i think its highly unlikely to be the cause. Lowering the screen resolution will then negatively affect how Studio One 3 is displayed. How can i be the only one that has experienced this problem..? Studio One 3 is optimized for high res display….so am i to believe that if i use Studio One 3 on a high res screen, then to use Ezdrummer i would have to lower the resolution..? Very odd indeed..!

Here’s the pic
I tried to enlarge your screenshot.
Isn’t that the “Follow Host” button enabled (yellow) to the left of the Song Creator button?
