I am using Cubase Pro 14
Windows 11
SD3 Orchestral percussion expansion
Pitch Innovations Groove Shaper
There are so few MIDI grooves for SD3 Orch Percussion that I purchased Pitch innovations Groove Shaper to create some for SD3 Orch.
The problem;
I have used Groove Shaper in Cubase with Slate Digital drums, Spitfire Abbey Road Orchestral Percussion, ML Drums, Spitfire Originals Percussion, BBC Symphony Orchestra Percussion, Vienna Symphonic Library Percussion, with zero problems.
However, using it with Superior Drummer 3 Orchestral freezes Cubase every time.
Using SD3 Orch on one track and Groove Shaper on another, I set the SD3 input to the Groove Shaper MIDI output. I then open Groove shaper and choose SD3 Orch Percussion as the destination instrument to send the MIDI to. As soon as I choose SD3 as the destination in Groove Shaper, Cubase freezes every time. Has never worked.
Trying this with Cubase and all of the other percussion libraries listed above works perfectly. The only change I make is using SD3 instead of another percussion library. To me that pretty much shows that SD3 is the culprit.
Has anyone used this combination with success?
If no one has, will the folks at toontrack look into this issue?
Thanks!
