When installing the EZmix 3 Core Pack, the installer asks the user to select a location for installing expansion packs, and it successfully creates a registry key in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Toontrack\EZmix3
…called PresetPackPath, which is set to the selected path.
However, when subsequently installing other preset packs (Electronic, Lead Vocals, etc.), those files are still installed to the default path location:
C:\ProgramData\Toontrack\EZmix\Presets
…instead of the user-selected path location.
The support team explained that: “Packs that were released before EZmix 3 was released must be installed in the fixed location C:\ProgramData\Toontrack\EZmix\Presets for various reasons…. But all newer packs will be installed in the selected path, next to the core pack.”
This is inconsistent and counterintuitive; users who set a specified path for the preset packs will expect that all the packs then be installed there, obviously. And many users want to make future reinstallations easier by storing all files such as these to a location on an external or secondary drive, not the C: drive.
Can you please fix this behavior so the user-selected path is used for all packs?
