I have a couple of questions about auditioning instruments in the ‘Search for Instruments’ interface:
When clicking through alternative instruments (let’s say snares), while MIDI is playing back, how can I hear the snare change as I click on alternatives, but without the actual mouse click causing the snare to sound? I just want the playback to seamlessly change, and random snare-hits when I click the mouse are quite distracting! I can kind of do this by Right-Clicking “Replace”, but this brings up a context menu which then needs to be dismissed. Is there a better way?
How can I hear just the alternative versions of an instrument, for example the Sidestick version of a snare? At the moment I have to click on the snare, then click on ‘Sidestick’ (causing it to sound both times) and then on Replace Snare. Can I just flick through all the Sidesticks?
Thanks!
