Dear Toontrack,
Following my post 3 months ago re the EZ Keys Demo, I’ve unfortunately decided not to buy EZ Keys at the moment. Main reason: no way to modify the MIDI patterns in the way that the drums patterns may be modified. In EZ Drummer 2, I can choose any MIDI pattern then add/subtract drums (ok, in fairly basic ways only, but nothing like this in EZ Keys). This means that every keyboard part with similar chords and similar MIDI pattern will the be same every time. Not really good enough.
May I make a suggestion? Is it not possible to formulate functionality similar to that in EZD2? Within any MIDI pattern, could an algorithm not identify the position of each note within the scale of the chords being played (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th etc) that would be similar to that which identifies drums/cymbals etc in EZD2 and have a similar dial to allow the user to add/subtract those particular notes within a particular pattern? This would, at least, allow users to prepare original MIDI parts before exporting these to the DAW for further editing.
Any response from Toontrack tech guys gratefully received!
Cheers.
Thanks for the feedback! They are great ideas, and I’ll take a note of them. If we had unlimited time and resources they would already be implemented 🙂

I NEED TO KNOW WHY MY DOWNLOAD OF EZKEYS BUNDLE WILL NOT INSTALL ON MY STUDIO ONE PRO PLEASE HELP
Henrik, thanks a lot for replying. I guess we just have to wait for any improvements to the programme. I hope it’s feasible. Of course when the keys part is imported into the DAW, I can edit the MIDI further to make it original. I will consider how much work this might entail. I already do this with drum patterns as there are plenty of occasions where I can’t find quite the right example amongst my EZD2 MIDI patterns for certain fills, ending etc. If it’s not too much work I might get EZKeys in any case but I look forward to any improvements.
Timothy, I’m afraid I can’t help with your query – this was a pre-sales query, so I don’t yet have an EZKeys bundle.
Cheers
