Hello. Ive started building my diy drums and ive got a few questions. Firstly, I was wondering can I put two mono pads into one input just using a normal headphone splitter thingy? I was thinking of making two bass drums as my doublebass pedal is a bit crappy. I dont need different sounds so Im assuming it should work.
Also Id like some advice on which module to buy. I was thinking either the Alesis DM5 or the Roland TD-3. Ive currently got a DD502 thing which is reasonable but id like something i can tweak the sensitivities about on. Do these modules have dual zone snares and cymbals and do they also have any extra inputs so i could add an extra tom or cowbell or something?
Finally has anyone got any advice about how to mount my drums onto a rack? I want to make a pvc rack but im completely clueless on how i could make some clamps and attach the drums to the pipe. I dont want to use my existing electric kit rack because i want to build this one and sell my old one.
