GNU/Linux and Wine

Hello,

I didn’t see a testing (trial) download for Superior Drummer 3. We don’t use windows or mac. We use GNU/Linux.

Is there anyway we can get a windows testing install to see if we can get this running sufficiently on GNU/Linux?

Most of the professional plugins etc… run fine under wine, with some exceptions of course. There just isn’t any way to make such a purchase without doing some serious testing first.

In light of the new direction Windows 11 is taking, I will be making the shift to Linux over the next year or so. Therefore I for one, wont be investing anymore in any developer who has no interest to make it possible.

They show an open mind and start to look at it, even basic support of using their plugins in Linux via Wine with VST or native LV2 then I’ll keep buying stuff from them.

So far Toontrack have shown no interest at all. No forsight that they can make their money back and more if they provide us with a way to use SD3 in Linux. MS will soon suck for low latency, dependable audio.
