Can I use another Disk in my Win7 Pc to buy new SDX(Disk”c” no more space)

    You can add as many drives as you want – the operating system doesn’t really matter. You’ll have to point SD3 to the new/added locations for the content. A couple of things to be aware of: don’t have duplicate files in different places – have them all in one place. Another is to make sure that the new SDX’s will run on your specific revision of SD3. They may or may not but it’s good to check. You would do well to have all your content in one place and NOT on your system drive. That way if/when the system drives goes down you still have the content and not have to redownload and install it. Don’t ask how I come about with that last statement.

    Oh yeah – when you do add the extra drives make sure they are turned on before starting your computer and also make sure that you have turned off all power savings bits and bobs in Windows. Even on a desktop Windows still has such stupidity enabled by default.

    To add to Jack’s information, if you want to install to a new drive, the installer gives you a Browse, option providing the opportunity to install your SDX to another location. Graphic attached.
