Great tune man, i really like what you did with the timing of the sentence ‘Man of few…..words’ that’s really clever and works.

    Good Luck

Thank you guys! Unfortunatelly I can’t take credit for the song, my client wrote it and sang it, I did the rest. It’s a great tune, I agree

On listening to it again – I gotta say that it does sound nice … again!
    This is a nice tune.
The only opinions I have are minor – if I may:
the vocals (although very nice) could stand to come down a couple of db’s – and possibly even add some (if not more) reverb.
The other very small thing that I thought was it could stand to have some more highs on the master – but it too sounds nice as is.
These are just a couple of my very humble opinions.
I hope you don’t mind me saying so.
Thanks again for sharing it with us … and for the other thing.
    Very kewl.
    Take care

Thank you Scott! Truth is I have to agree with you on all that. I personally like drier vocals but I’ll mess with the reverb a little bit… The client was happy with the mix but I may still mess with it a bit more.

Simple songs are always easier to remember and i think one listen to this refrain you may remember.

I tend to believe that to be a good Country style mix as is.
my only comment is re dynamics/impact.
It tends to sit in one area the whole time,u could break down a section to just acc gtr or piano (no Drums !) and build it back again ,might be worth a try.

Drums sound GREAT!! Nice pop and really clear

Vocal does seem a little too dry for the room everything is placed into. Im with WATERBOY, Id bring the dB down a few on the lead vocal

    Great job BTW

Thank you Shanabit! See, I agree with you guys about the vocals but the client likes them like that and the customer’s always right, isn’t he?

I think for this genre (pop or country) the vocals sit at a good level. If the client likes them up like that (dry and up front), I would have compressed them alot more for more of a ‘sitting right at the end of your nose’ sound. Sounds great anyways.
