Superior Drummer 3 Dongle?

Hello! I am just curious about licensing. I have a machine at work and a machine at home. one thing I hated about superior drummer 2 was bringing a dongle back and forth any time I wanted to work from home. I this licensed online? can I have it on a machine at work and a machine at home as long as they are not in use at the same time?

I think you confuse Superior Drummer 2 with some other software, because Toontrack has never used dongles for our software.
Superior 3, has like our other software, a system where you authorize a computer to run the program on. You can have 2 simultaneously authorized computers for Superior Drummer 3, so you can use a home and a studio computer for example.

Can you explain this in a bit more detail?

For example, I have 2 computers. I install SD3 on both. Then, I want to get rid of one computer, and install SD3 on its replacement. Can I do this? ‘Delete’ or otherwise de-activate SD3 on the computer I am getting rid of?

Or, am I forever and ever stuck with the 2 computers I originally installed SD3 on?

No, you are not ‘stuck’. You can remove an authorization from a computer and authorize its replacement.
Toontrack allows you do this yourself for up to 4 authorizations
after which you need only ask them to ‘do a reset’ to reopen your unused authorization slots.

You can remove the authorization from one host and move it to another.
