Hi, I’m just a user and I don’t know the answer to your question… Just wondering how many GB’s or TB’s of SSD you need these days on your C: drive? And how you handle all the data in Music production (the best way!) with all the music programs and plugins (DAW, Waves plugins, ToonTrack plugins, etc)? I’m guessing I need to to buy an internal 1T SSD hd soon to my computer??? My 250 SSD hd is almost empty and I need to buy AmpliTube 4 MAX, SD3, etc soon… 🙁

You can decide wherever you want to install and download software in Toontrack Product Manager, so yes.

    Hi,

user EvilDragon has it right but to clarify:
    1) You do not need to install more than the Basic install if you do not wish to or do not have space enough.
    2) The library (as with all Superior libraries) does not need to reside on your system drive, it can be installed to an external drive.

    Hi John,

I’ve just installed Product Manager and despite moving where the “downloads” go to my external drive, all installations of past purchases are trying to install on my system drive. I see no way of changing this. Also, Product Manager doesn’t seem to “see” that the previous versions of my SDX and SD2 libraries are all on the external drive and working fine.

    Can you advise? Thanks!

Hi, i just bought Superior Drummer 3 and want to install it on the internal flash drive of the Mac Pro. There wasn’t enough space so i free’d some up by deleting and emptying the trash. The installer is not seeing the change in available space, even after quitting and relaunching, it thinks there’s 29GB of free space on the system drive when there is in fact 60GB

    Can you help?

    MacOS 10.12.6

Hi y’all.  New to Toontrack and having the same issue with C drive space… please help with how to install to an external drive.

My 8 TB external drive has plenty of space, but my internal C drive is just under 3 GB available and I still have 4 expansion packs to install.  Lol

    …hope everyone is well,

    Chris

    Hi,

new SD3 buyer…new year new drums!

well you can go in your Preferences menu of TT product manager and change the download path.

after done that, go in show details for every download item and navigate through Installation info tab. You’ll find the ‘set path to installed library’ in the right lines icon to the right.

    hope it helps.

    bye.
