The 2 default libraries (The Modern library and the Vintage library) are installed with EZD2. If you want them, you should install EZD2 even if you never use the EZD2 plugin.

Hi, i’m thinking of moving from EZD2 to Superior 3.

Just now i have used the Pop/Rock expansion on some older projects in Cubase.

From what i’ve read these expansions are compatible with SD3?

So, if i installed SD3 and have EZD2 and expansions installed, what Toontrack version will open up when opening my older music projects?

If i have to manually change the VSTi from EZ2 to SD3, will i be starting from scratch again regarding mixer settings etc?

    Thanks

    Hi rallyboy101,

indeed the EZdrummer EZX:s are compatible with SD3 but installing SD3 on a system with EZdrummer 2 installed will not replace it.

A Song saved with an EZX loaded in EZdrummer 2 will open the EZdrummer 2 plugin.

Factory Presets in EZX:s will open in SD3 but User Presets will not, at least not as of now but I know such a feature has been requested to be added to SD3.

    BR,

    John
