SD3 Drums and Cymbals Way Quieter than SD2

Exactly what the title says. I'm running SD3 slave through Logic pro. I copied an old midi track from my SD2 channel to an SD3 channel and the cymbals are waaay quieter even with the velocity all the way up to 128. Any ideas what parameters need adjusting?

Thanks

What kit preset are you using in S3? The unprocessed, raw kits, or one of the premixed presets?

Unprocessed kits. I don't like using the premixed presets as they come with effects that I would rather add in post.

There's absolutely no response to the velocity changes made in Logic. It's the same sounds on the snares throughout.

The unprocessed kits in S3 are much lower in volume than the kits in S2. George Massenberg have enough headroom for users to mix them to their liking.
