    Hi!
I guess I got the same trouble. I run install.exe and can neither find any steven slate’s *.s20 nor load preset.
    Will appreciate any help.
    Thanks!

Please verify that you have Superior 2.2.2 installed.  They won’t show up unless you have at least that version installed.
You can check the version by opening Superior; the version number should be listed near the top right area, just to the left of where it says “Superior Drummer”.
    Hope it helps!

Oh, thanks! I was just finishing 2.2.2 installation. Now I can choose them.
    Thanks again.

I downloaded the Slate and Morgan presets two hours ago. Ran the installers and – no presets. Can’t find them anywhere. My Superior Drummer is v2.2.2. Where are these files placed? If I knew where they were supposed to be installed I could verify that they actually were. Any ideas?

Did you select the Avatar kit before checking the Combined presets?

Though I myself am not interested in the presets, was there any reason why only the Avatar library was chosen?
It seems to me that (especially with all the fuss over the months) that several presets for each of the SDX libraries,or a least the more popular libraries, would have been more appeasing to those who are interested in the presets (IMHO).

I can understand that using Avatar simplifies matters (being the core library), but seeing how any preset is library specific,it doesn’t make them very diverse.

There is a much, much wider base of users that own the Avatar library than any SDX library, for the obvious reason that Avatar ships with S2. Toontrack was trying to appeal to the most users as possible.

I’m not saying that they won’t be offering preset packs designed for the other SDXs (I don’t know either way). I’m saying that for the first couple of packs, using the Avatar library makes the most sense.

I mean, I can just imagine the outcry if Steven did, say, 2 presets for Avatar, 2 presets for TMF, and 2 presets for Music City. Those that only own Avatar and no other SDX would be up in arms at feeling that Toontrack was forcing them to buy SDXs to use a few presets.

I primarily use TMF library and nothing else.  I think if you release presets by a producer who works in a specific genre, then they should be released specifically for that library.  For example, if you have a country producer creating presets, I wouldn’t expect them to be released on TMF.  I would expect them to be released on Music City.  I know you want to make as much money as possible by trying to reach the largest user base, but, I don’t think I will be spending any more money on presets.

I do indeed conceed your point and whole heartedly agree.I only brought it up due to comments made in other treads.

For me personally,as I have stated in other posts, I would like to see preset tutorials on how to achieve certain results.
For example; In an other thread you wrote out a tutorial for me using minimal miking to balence out a kit.http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=100634&mpage=1&key=&#100768

I think something like that,in a pdf form for download, once a week or twice a month, whatever, would not only benefit the community but would be cost effective also.
I for one am more interested in discovering my sound(if ever) and learning how to utilize S2 to it’s full capabilities.

I have plowed through all the presets in TMF,Claustrophbic, and Twisted (that’s alot) and actually very few have caught my ear.
So,I guess I’ll leave it at that.
