After update from MacOS Sierra to MacOS High Sierra EZ Drummer 2 still working only as Standalone Application. GarageBand can’t use EDZ2 as AU plugin. I’m informed by Toontrack Support about workaround possibility, but it’s really needing to have the update for EZD2 as soon as possible. Thank you so much in advance! BR Konstantin

    PPS:
I really would like to see here a comment from Toontrack Support Team about forwarding of the issue to Development.
From my side the issue is reported by Support on October, 1.

is there a fix available for this issue? I can’t access the link provided

No, there is no fix available yet. There is a workaround: If you own Superior Drummer 3, first open that in GarageBand and after that you can open EZdrummer. Perhaps this trick works with other Audio Units than Superior Drummer 3 too.

It isn’t working with GB and EZD2. I see no reason it works with GB and SD3. I would like to recommend to write support again and again (like me). The issue is critical and any workaround isn’t really useful (for me).

Can someone from support team help us with update or just report about the issue to development team? Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

there is no available update yet and the turnaround is not that fast, updates need to be built and then tested in the Beta pool. Olof is part of the coding team so the issue is definitely “on the table”, so to speak.

After years of computing-related experience; I offer:

Technology Suggestion #1: Never, ever do a major operating system upgrade (Windows or Mac) without first checking compatibility
of your critical hardware, peripherals, software programs & plugins.

Technology Suggestion #2: After an initial roll-out of an OS upgrade, if you cannot document, diagnose and/or resolve any issues that may arise, it is often best to wait & allow others to bear that responsibility. Even the most diligent testing is unlikely to expose every issue that a much larger user base will uncover once an upgrade is released to the public.

Technology Suggestion #3: When cleared to proceed with aforementioned upgrades,
it is still best to do so with caution and a watchful observance of any ‘unexpected consequences’.

@John: thank you, I apologize for misunderstanding because of I’m new here and don’t knew who’s Olaf. This is my first program from Toontrack, and I hope, not last 🙂 I’m waiting for update and would really glad and grateful if it’s possible to be a member of beta-tester group.

@Scott: thank you. Of course, as software developer with more as 25 years experience I’m perfectly informed about ‘unexpected consequences’ by major software upgrades 🙂 without any suggestions 🙂

I’m no tech guy but merely a consumer. As such, I find this to be terrible customer service. Mac OS High Sierra was slated to come out for some time and has been out for several weeks now. No reason that Toon Track hasn’t addressed this yet. I’m very disappointed and will probably not purchase another product from them.
