    Hi,

open the Product Manager, click the Details on the Product and then Installation Info. There you should find instructions on how to Uninstall.

    Hi John,

I’m trying to uninstall as well.  There is no way to UNINSTALL the components.  The dropdown box beside “Download” shows a menu item “Uninstall” but it is disabled.

    Need help uninstalling ASAP…. please.

    Regards,

The uninstaller is in the download, so download it again to enable Uninstall in the menu.

Hi, as suggested by Olof I downloaded EZDrummer again, the ‘uninstall’ button turned available, so I click ‘uninstall’ but nothing happened, the software is still there, but now the uninstall button is disabled again.

    Hi,

when you write ‘nothing happened’ is that literally?
Did you download EZdrummer 2, click the Uninstall button and it just turned light gray (unavailable)?

    John

    Hi John,
yes, unfortunately literally nothing happened. Steps I did:

    • I installed the Toontrack Product Manager
    • I download / install / authorize /update EZDrummer 2 + any update + the 2 plugins I bought (Metal Machine EZX and Metal! EZX)
    • Then I cleaned any installer to free HD space
    • When I get the Logic Pro X bug (the main issue that brought me to temporary uninstall EZD), I downloaded again EZDrummer as stated in “Installation Info” panel
    • I clicked “Uninstall Product” and nothing happened, but the button was disabled.
    • to uninstall EZDrummer and get access to Logic again, I had to move to Trash the EZDrummer App in Applications folder, and move the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ EZDrummer folder
    • Now Logic is working again, the Toontrack Product Manager says “Not Installed”, even if the button to the bottom still says “Uninstall Product”, that makes no sense. I attach a screenshot

Thanks a lot for your help. Please note this issue is connected with the main one, about making EZDrummer works on Logic Pro X on Catalina: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/logic-crashing-because-of-ez-drummer/#post-2486298

    Hi!

I am trying to uninstall ez Drummer. I want to uninstall and then reinstall to relocate the ez sound library to an external harddrive.

The problem seems to be is that the “ez drummer uninstaller” is a 32bit app and it needs to be 64bit.

    Can you provide this?

    Thanx!

Is it a general complaint, or something specific? Can you explain what (if that’s that case), so we know what’s wrong?

Searching for information about how to uninstall EzKeys (Logic is saying plugin failed validation). Basically I need to download and uninstall one by one all the EzKeys modules I bought? If this is the case, this is quite a joke and you guys need to sort that out. If I am missing something I apologize…

    Hi Pedro,

I would just reinstall the latest EZkeys Player update, remove the AU cache, reboot the mac and then start Logic. Open the Plug-In Manager and select the EZkeys plugin and Reset & Rescan if necessary.

How to remove the AU cache:

    1. In the Finder, press Option and choose Go > Library.
    2. In the Finder window, go to Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache.
    3. Move the files from AudioUnitCache folder to the Desktop or delete.
    4. Restart the computer, then open Logic Pro X. All installed Audio Units plug-ins will be rescanned.

    Thanks John,

I followed all your instructions (I actually uninstalled all EzKeys modules) and still didn’t work.

After uninstalling and cleaning up the cache I started Logic, it did scan for plugins and open without any warning. I rebooted the computer again, launched the product manager and installed only one of the EzKeys (Grand Piano), rebooted again and started Logic. Once again there was a scan and the error message about plugin failed validation occurred.

I have no problem with using it in Pro Tools. In Logic I also use EzDrummer without any issue.

    OS is Mojave 10.14.6

    iMac 2017 4.2GHz Intel Core i7

    64GB RAM

Any more suggestions? I am moving from Pro Tools to Logic and this is the only issue which is getting on the way.

    Thanks,

    Pedro

OK, FYI I am also on Mojave 10.14.6 and I have no problems using EZkeys in Logic Pro X 10.4.8.

I would close all programs and navigate to [Mac HD]/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ and manually delete the ‘EZkeys.component’.
Next, run the EZkeys player 1.2.5 update.
Clear the AU cache again and then reboot your mac.
Start Logic and enter the Plug-In Manager.
Select the EZkeys plug-in and Reset & Rescan.
Copy the AU validation test result and post here.

    BR,
    John
