If you open the installer for a MIDI pack, for example the MIDI update for one of those SDXs, check what path it says that the MIDI will be installed to and verify that the path exists and has okay permissions.

the midi packs (I tried SDX Avatar midi pack, and Extreme Fills and Blasts)
Both directories went to //Library/Application Support/EZDrummer (I had to create it)
both iMIDI pack installs failed, same dialog appear as with the SDX install fails

Please open Applications/Utilities/Terminal and run this command (copy/paste it and press enter):

    /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c “Set :SourcePath /Library/Application Support/EZDrummer” /Users/Shared/Toontrack/Preferences/com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer.plist

Then try again to install a MIDI pack. If it still doesn’t work, run this command in Terminal and take a screenshot:

    ls -aleO /Library/Application Support/EZDrummer

the first didn’t work out, same error

Here’s a screen shot of the second:
(the drive, LD Sample Drive, or directories, no longer exists (the reason for the need to reinstall )

Okay, then you can just delete /Library/Application Support/EZDrummer (that broken link) and it should be possible to install.

I just created //Library/Application Support/EZDrummer yesterday trying to get a MIDI pack to install, it can’t be the issue

Your last screenshot showed that /Library/Application Support/EZDrummer is not a folder but a broken symbolic link, so you must be looking in the wrong location. The first slash in the path means the root of your boot drive, usually named Macintosh HD.

    okay

    “hard drive name”/Library/Application Support/EZDrummer
Instead of EZDrummer folder being in this location, there is an EZDrummer alias (original not found)
