I bet toontrack would sell more of these if potential buyers could find out what’s in them.

    Not sure about that

Yeah, it should at least give the number of beats, and a list of titles would be wonderful. It might also be great to explain whether or not the MIDI files are taken from other collections. I assume they are because the examples have the names of other MIDI packs next to them, implying that they are drawn from those products. If I already have all of those, I wouldn’t need to purchase the compilation, I presume. (The organization of the files themselves could be more helpful, too, though I’m not sure how this could be accomplished. Long lists of numbers are not conducive to effective recall.)

The MIDI content is always exclusive, except for the packs derived from older sound expansions. In these cases, it is clearly stated on the product page. Example:

I got it, thanks. I didn’t know if Basic Rock MIDI demo tracks labeled “4/4 Straight Rock Solid EZX” and “Americana EZX” were using the MIDI from those collections or the SOUNDS. It makes sense now.

Just out of interest, is ththere a physical, boxed version of these products that can be ordered or are the boxes illustrated purely marketing fiction??

If you’re referring to the MIDI Packs then no, they are just download only products.

wow 2 years and this still hasn’t either been answered or addressed in any way. Maybe we’re buying drum software from the wrong people.

I tried using tap to find (3/4 time sig) with ez drummer 2 demo (thinking of upgrading since ez drummer won’t work in pt 11). I got 20% matches when I filtered in to the DFH library I got 0% matches. So I start browsing your MIDI packs and there is only general and vague descriptions with bragging rights about who played the drums etc. Nothing really useful as a customer.

So basically I’m in the same boat as the original poster and this thread just shows me that maybe even posting here is a waste of time and I should probably just look elsewhere.

The response to this type of request was to invent the Tape2Find function in EZD2 and also the Show Webshop MIDI function (not available in the demo). This way, every MIDI file available in the Toontrack universe can be searched, found, and auditioned with minimal effort.

The demo only allows searching the MIDI in the demo and not the thousands available from Toontrack.
