EZDrummer drum delay

Hello,

I have newly installed software and notice a delay or the deletion of drum signal (hit).
Does anyone recognize what I am trying to describe?

Can someone explain how the sound is produced and transferred so I can understand what the technical
functions behind the scenes are and what different software and hardware is used and for in the process?

If you could give us just a little more information about your system. Host (PC/MAC), Interface (Internal/External… brand), Trigger method (E-Drum, Keyboard, whatever).
Perhaps you are describing latency, there’s more threads in the EZDrummer Support section.

Do you have your TD3 connected to your host (PC/Mac, whatever) and have you used it in Studio One? Trying to figure out where to start. Essentially sounds is produced by triggering EZDrummer 2 with you TD3. So once you have your TD3 connected to your host installed any drivers that are required and configured it, start EZDrummer 2 up going into settings > audio/MIDI setup and select MIDI Device, your TD3 should show up in the list and select and apply.

That should allow you to trigger EZD2 directly from your TD3. Hope this helps.

Yes, I have a UM-One midi cable connecting the TD-3 and the Mac Mini.

That’s good,I don’t have a Roland TD3, so I will be muddling through this… plug the MIDI out of the TD3 into the MIDI in of the UM One, that is plugged into the Mac.
On the MAC go to applications > utilities > AUDIO MIDI Setup
Then Windows > Show MIDI Studio
You should see your UM One… if not you may need to install drivers… read the manual

The next part is dependent on your OS; you will either see “Add MIDI Device” or a “+”
Either way…. add a new device, double click the device and give it a name (Roland TD3 comes to mind) Apply
Then on the little triangle tabs; connect the TD3 to the UM One.
Start EZDrummer 2 go into settings > audio/MIDI setup and select MIDI Device, your TD3 should show up in the list, select it, go to Audio Device select whatever interface you are using..(or built in Output); apply.
And pray it all works…..

I don’t have any of the MIDI mac interface with the triangles set up. I was told by Sweetwater that I didn’t need to use this.
I used it when I wasn’t using EZDrummer. Should I still be using it?

Does your TD3 show up in the list of MIDI Devices in EZDrummer under setup > MIDI Devices?
