Hi all,
Wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I’ve been using EZD for about a year now and for the most part I am able to get really good results with the software. Overall I’m pretty pleased with this product. However, I have an annoying problem that really slows down my work flow. Whenever I want to make changes to the beat I will isolate the section I want to work on using the scissor tool. For example if I want to change the kick pattern I will cut out the bars I want to change and remove the old kick pattern. Then I will either play or find the new pattern I want to use. Then I copy the kick (or other drum) and paste it in. Two problems arise when I do this. First, if I only want to change 2 or 3 beats I find that the program will make the pasted section 4 or 8 beats long and I will have to drag the old section back over to cover the bars I don’t want. This happens even if I only copy the exact number of beats I am changing. Second, when I use the merge function to restore these edited sections to a full measure the program will delete beats within the edited measure so that now I have missing kick or snare hits. This also occurs if I use the record function to do things like punch in cymbal hits. It seems to happen when the transport moves past a former (now merged) edit break, similar to what happens when I use the merge function to combine sections. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Is there a setting that is incorrect? It doesn’t seem like it was doing this when I first started using the program so what exactly am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
Hi,
is this happening with the newly released version 2.1.8?
