cannot automate enable/disable effect in ableton

  Hi, I’m trying to automate the on/off button of the distortion effect on my master bus.

  I read this topic:  https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/how-to-accomplish-this-in-sd3-apply-effects-to-only-certain-midi-regions/

   

  And so I went in the macro properties, clicked “Add”, then “Save Start”, then turned on the distortion plugin, then “Save End”, but the property isn’t added

  in the macro list. And so the macro doesn’t control the on/off button of the distortion plugin.

  Am i missing something ?
